1. Purpose
This policy helps customers verify that received goods match their orders and promptly document evidence in case of discrepancies or damage during transportation.
2. Items to be inspected
- Product name and type.
- Quantity.
- Exterior condition of the package.
- Visible condition of the packaging or seal.
- Signs of dents, tears, wetting, punctures, or other unusual damage.
3. Inspection limitations
Inspection at delivery does not include testing the product or opening sealed food packaging, unless the carrier and applicable policies permit it. Failure to open the packaging at receipt does not forfeit the customer's right to report a quality defect that can only be detected after opening.
4. When abnormalities are found
- Take photos or record videos of the package and the product.
- Request that the delivery staff record the issue if possible.
- Contact The Capital Coffee through official channels.
- Keep the product, packaging, and shipping labels for verification.
5. Notification timeframe
Customers should report visible abnormalities within 24 hours to increase the likelihood of verification with the carrier. This does not automatically waive the customer's legal right to file a complaint after that time.
6. Refusal to accept delivery
If a package shows signs of severe damage, clear discrepancy, or otherwise fails to meet acceptance conditions, the customer may request an acknowledgment and refuse to accept it in accordance with the carrier's procedures. Customers should notify The Capital Coffee immediately.
7. After receiving the goods
If an issue is detected after receipt, the customer may still submit a request under the Return Policy or the Complaint Resolution Policy. Handling will be based on the nature of the defect, the available evidence, and the customer's rights under law.
